Streetsblog Article: How to React to BP Oil Spill

In response to the BP Oil Spill, I think people are thinking more and more about their impacts and demand for oil. In particular, a lot of it is used to drive our cars. Reading this article, I hope folks are starting to understand the importance of reducing our individual demands for fossil fuel to get around, but rather utilize more of our human-powered abilities. This is not to say that you shouldn't drive a car ever, but think about taking the bus somewhere, walking, biking, purchasing a hybrid or all-electric car. Do something to reduce your footprint in this world. I have said it since the beginning of my blog, "The choices we make only affect everyone else." Our individual actions are what creates the new norm in our societies. Please think about what you can do to create a sustainable future and stick to it.
